Pupils should not be in the school grounds early in the morning. School begins at 8.50 and pupils are reminded to be on the line at ten to nine. Pupils should be under the supervision of parents before ten to nine. I welcome your support in this as it is for the safety and welfare of pupils.

Can I remind you of our healthy lunch policy in Scoil Mhuire. Please send a healthy lunch with your child on the days that school lunches are not provided. School lunches have begun for 1st to 6th Class and your child has been informed the day they will receive lunches.

Due to nut allergies, Scoil Mhuire has become a nut fee zone.  All nuts and nut products are now excluded from school.

If you have changed your address or phone number please inform the secretary as this information is needed if your child is ill or for sending text a parent information

Please visit our Gallery and Class Blogs to see all the up to date photos of our pupils.

If you wish to speak with your child's teacher, please make an appointment through the Secretary.  For non-urgent messages for the class teacher, please use the journal.
Challenge to Change 2019

  • Scoil Mhuire took part in this year’s Challenge to Change - A Development Education Project in Presentation Schools.
  • Our focus this year was ‘Food Waste and its impact on our environment’
  • 3rd, 4th and 5th Class were busy learning all about how much food is wasted. They were measuring their own food waste at home and learning about ways they could reduce it.
  • 4th Class visited Tesco where they learned all about buying food locally and where Food left over from the shop goes.
  • 5th Class made up a PowerPoint with lots of interesting facts.
  • These classes then went to all the other classes and taught them about how we can reduce our food waste.
  • 10 Children went to Kilkenny to tell all the other Presentation Schools about Our Project.  It was a great day. Well done to everyone.

  • Pupil of the Week
